Valladolid, Spain — The fifth edition of Merci, Valladolid’s indie cinema market, opened with its flagship roundtable, '¿Qué nos preocupa?' ('What’s Worrying Us?'), where Spain’s indie distributors and exhibitors mapped a survival playbook for arthouse films. Held Oct. 29–31 at Broadway Cinemas in Valladolid and co-organized by Seminci and the distributors’ association Adicine, Merci drew around 200 programmers.
