RedRover Animation Studio has tapped acclaimed Korean filmmaker Lee Seok-hoon to write and direct Rainmakers, marking the studio’s first venture into K-pop–driven storytelling. Based in Korea, RedRover is showcasing Rainmakers on its AFM slate, joining The Nut Job 3 and MegaRacer, a sci-fi racing feature currently in post-production. The Nut Job franchise has earned more than $200 million at the box office, highlighting RedRover’s growing footprint in family entertainment and the global animation market. With Rainmakers, RedRover aims to expand its international reach by leveraging the global K-pop phenomenon, while strengthening its portfolio of animated features and genre-crossing projects at AFM.
