The Marrakech Film Festival has announced the Atlas Workshops lineup for the 8th edition, featuring 28 projects and films selected to be developed and mentored during the event. Romanian director Cristian Mungiu has been named the patron for this year's Atlas Workshops, underscoring Marrakech's role as a global hub for emerging cinema. The workshop runs from November 30 to December 4, offering filmmakers access to expert mentorship, script development, and potential co-production opportunities. Mungiu, who won the Cannes Palme d'Or in 2007 for 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days, will guide participants with industry insights and market strategies. The Atlas Workshops continue to spotlight a diverse slate of international projects, including fiction features and documentaries, with a focus on fostering collaboration across Africa, the Arab world, and beyond.
