The pact marks another high-profile collaboration between a Hollywood studio and a Gulf film authority and is among several deals unveiled during the inaugural Doha Film Festival’s Industry Days, led by Hassan Al Thawadi, the Qatari official who chairs the Film Committee. The initiative aims to bolster regional cinema by providing production funding across an Arabic-language slate and includes a rebate incentive unveiled to attract further investment in Arab cinema. This co-financing agreement underscores Qatar’s push to develop a robust MENA film market and to bring Arabic-language titles to international audiences.
