On Friday night, the 22nd Marrakech International Film Festival kicked off with a star-studded screening of Gus Van Sant's Dead Man Wire, attended by Bong Joon Ho, Jenna Ortega, Anya Taylor-Joy and other luminaries from international cinema. Bong Joon Ho, the Parasite Oscar winner and this year’s jury president, received a warm welcome as the festival underscored its mission to celebrate world cinema. The opening night highlighted Marrakech's status as a global hub for bold storytelling and cross-border collaboration. For 22 years, Marrakech has lived and breathed international cinema, and this edition is set to continue that tradition with a diverse lineup of premieres, industry discussions, and artist showcases.
